The 2022 recruiting cycle has been heating up of late as some of the top high school players in the country have announced their respective college decisions. As a result, we have seen a dramatic shift in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, so we have decided to check in on the top recruiting classes in the country.
According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, the SEC currently leads all conferences with eight of the top 25 recruiting classes in the country. The Big Ten is second with six classes among that group, followed by the ACC with five, Big 12 with three, and Pac-12 with two.
It should be noted that verbal commitments are non-binding and prospects in the 2022 class won’t be able to make it official until the Division I Early Signing Period, which begins on Dec. 15, 2021, and ends on Dec. 17, 2021. Those who elect not to sign during the early period will be able to do so on National Signing Day on Feb. 2, 2022.
With that in mind, scroll down to take a look at the nation’s top 25 recruiting classes for the 2022 cycle as of Aug. 17, according to the 247Sports Composite.
